สลดบัสชนยับ – วันที่ 19 ธ.ค. เอเอฟพี รายงานว่า เกิดเหตุ รถชน รุนแรง 2 เหตุการณ์บนถนนหลวงสายเดียวกันในจังหวัดกัซนี ทางตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ของ อัฟกานิสถาน เชื่อมระหว่างกรุงคาบูลกับเมืองกันดะฮาร์
ส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตรวมกันอย่างน้อย 52 ราย อีก 65 รายได้รับบาดเจ็บ และมีหลายรายอาการสาหัส รายงานระบุว่าเหตุการณ์หนึ่งเป็นรถบัสโดยสารชนเข้ากับรถบรรทุกน้ำมันใกล้หมู่บ้านชาห์บาซ ตอนกลางของจังหวัดกัซนี อีกเหตุเป็นรถบัสชนรถบรรทุกในเขตอันดาร์ ทางตะวันออก

ทั้งนี้ อัฟกานิสถานมีอุบัติเหตุบนท้องถนนเกิดขึ้นบ่อยครั้ง ส่วนหนึ่งเกิดจากสภาพถนนที่ไม่ดีเพราะขาดการดูแลรักษาเนื่องจากความขัดแย้งทางการเมืองที่ยืดเยื้อมานานหลายสิบปี และการบังคับใช้กฎหมายที่ไม่เข้มงวด
ก่อนหน้านี้เมื่อเดือนมี.ค. มีเหตุรถบัสชนกับรถบรรทุกน้ำมัน ส่งผลให้เกิดระเบิดเป็นและไฟไหม้รุนแรงในจังหวัดเฮลมันด์ ทางตอนใต้ มีผู้เสียชีวิตมากกว่า 20 ราย และบาดเจ็บ 38 ราย
อีกเหตุสูญเสียร้ายแรงที่เกี่ยวข้องกับรถบรรทุกน้ำมันเกิดขึ้นเมื่อเดือนธ.ค.2565 หลังรถพลิกคว่ำและเกิดเพลิงไหม้ในช่องเขาซาลัง ให้มีผู้เสียชีวิต 31 รายและมีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บจากการถูกไฟไหม้หลายสิบราย
