ซิมบับเว “แบนทำเหมือง” เบรกจีนบุกเขตอุทยาน-ปกป้องถิ่นสัตว์ป่า
ซิมบับเว “แบนทำเหมือง” – วันที่ 10 ก.ย. บีบีซี รายงานว่า รัฐบาลซิมบับเวแถลงระงับ อุตสาหกรรมเหมือง ในพื้นที่อุทยานแห่งชาติทั่วประเทศ พร้อมทั้งเพิกถอนใบอนุญาตให้บริษัทสัญชาติจีน 2 แห่ง เข้ามาสำรวจหาทรัพยากรถ่านหินใน อุทยานแห่งชาติฮวางเก
อุทยานที่ใหญ่ที่สุดของประเทศ ทั้งยังเป็นถิ่นที่อยู่อาศัยของช้างป่ามากกว่า 40,000 ตัว และสัตว์นานาชนิดจำนวนมาก รวมถึงแรดดำที่ใกล้สูญพันธุ์ ท่ามกลางการแสดงความเห็นชื่นชมจากกลุ่มปกป้องสัตว์ระหว่างประเทศ
ก่อนหน้านี้สมาคมทนายความด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมแห่งซิมบับเวยื่นฟ้องฟ้องร้องต่อศาลให้ระงับธุรกิจเหมืองที่ลุกล้ำพื้นที่อุทยาน เพราะจะส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อระบบนิเวศและความสมบูรณ์ของประเทศ คณะรัฐมนตรีจึงนำประเด็นดังกล่าวเข้าหารือเมื่อวันที่ 8 ก.ย. ซึ่งทุกฝ่ายลงมติเห็นพ้องให้ยุติโครงการทั้งหมดในทันที
