จับแก๊งอินเดียรุมหื่น “ตัวเหี้ย” – อินเดียทูเดย์ รายงานเหตุล่วงละเมิดสัตว์สุดสะเทือนใจใน ประเทศอินเดีย หลังจากชายนักล่าสัตว์ 4 คนร่วมกันก่อเหตุรุมโทรม “ตัวเงินตัวทอง” ในพื้นที่เขตอนุรักษ์พันธุ์เสือซาไฮดารี รัฐมหาราษฏระ ทางตะวันตกของประเทศ หนำซ้ำหนึ่งในกลุ่มชายฉกรรจ์ยังใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือบันทึกเหตุการณ์ด้วย
สื่อท้องถิ่นของอินเดียรายงานว่า เมื่อวันที่ 31 มี.ค.ที่ผ่านมา เจ้าหน้าที่สำนักงานป่าไม้รัฐมหาราษฏระพบหลักฐานจากกล้องวงจรปิดสำหรับติดตามความเคลื่อนไหวของเสือเบงกอล พบชาย 4 คนลักลอบเข้าไปในพื้นที่รักษาพันธุ์เสือและเดินไปทั่วบริเวณ
Vishal Mali, Divisional Forest Officer, Chandoli National Park which is part of the STR, said that on March 31, a forest ranger noticed four accused heading towards the forest with weapons in a camera trap. He noted their movement and informed the senior officers. The senior officers investigated and arrested the accused. One accused was arrested from Hativ village and two accused from Maral in Sangameshwar taluka of Ratnagiri. They also seized their mobile phones which contained a video of the rape.

สำนักงานป่าไม้รัฐมหาราษฏระเปิดเผยอีกว่าชายผู้ต้องสงสัย 4 คน ทราบชื่อคือ นายสันทีป ตักราม นายปวาร์ มันเกศ นายชนาธรรม คามติคาร และนายอักษัย สุนิล ถูกคุมขังรอดำเนินคดีซึ่งเจ้าหน้าที่ส่งฟ้องต่อศาลอาญาแล้ว
และระหว่างนี้เจ้าหน้าที่เร่งหารือถึงการตั้งข้อกล่าวหา รวมถึงการดำเนินการทางกฎหมายที่เหมาะสมกับความผิดของชายทั้งสี่คนซึ่งละเมิดประมวลกฎหมายอาญามาตรา 377 มีในความสำคัญว่าบุคคลที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับสัตว์ ต้องระวางโทษจำคุกตลอดชีวิตหรือจำคุกนาน 10 ปี และต้องระวางโทษปรับด้วย
