เหยื่อดินถล่มรัฐเกรละ – รอยเตอร์ รายงานวันที่ 1 ส.ค. ถึงความคืบหน้าเหตุ ดินถล่ม ในรัฐเกรละ ทางตอนใต้ของ ประเทศอินเดีย ตั้งแต่วันอังคารที่ 30 ก.ค.ที่ผ่านมา
ถือเป็นภัยพิบัติที่เลวร้ายที่สุดของรัฐนับตั้งแต่เหตุอุทกภัยใหญ่ในปี 2561 และยอดผู้เสียชีวิตเพิ่มเป็นอย่างน้อย 167 ราย และประชาชนมากกว่า 8,000 คนต้องอพยพไปอยู่ศูนยพ์พักพิงชั่วคราว

แม้ความหวังในการค้นหาผู้รอดชีวิตเริ่มเลือนลางแต่เจ้าหน้าที่กู้ภัยหลายร้อยคนยังระดมกำลังขุดคุ้ยดินโคลน หิน และเศษซากความเสียหายเพื่อหาผู้ประสบภัย ท่ามกลางสภาพอากาศที่ไม่เอื้ออำนวยของฝนที่ตกหนักต่อเนื่องและระดับน้ำในแม่น้ำที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว
ด้านสำนักงานอุตุนิยมวิทยาอินเดียระบุคาดว่าจะมีฝนตกกระหน่ำครั้งใหญ่ซ้ำอีกระลอกในช่วง 24 ชั่วโมงข้างหน้า ส่งผลให้ทางการรัฐเกรละต้องประกาศเตือนภัยขอให้ประชาชน “เฝ้าระวังสูงสุด”
