เร่งสอบ “รถราง” – บีบีซี รายงานวันที่ 12 ม.ค. ว่า เกิดเหตุ รถราง 2 ขบวนชนกันที่สถานีกลางสทราซบูร์ในเมืองสทราซบูร์ จังหวัดบา-แร็ง แคว้นกร็องแต็สต์ ประเทศฝรั่งเศส เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 11 ม.ค.ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น ส่งผลให้มีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บอย่างน้อย 68 ราย
จากคลิปวิดีโอและภาพถ่ายบนโลกออนไลน์เผยให้เห็นรถราง 2 ขบวนหลังพุ่งชนอย่างแรงจนตัวรถได้รับความเสียหาย มีควันพวยพุ่ง และเสียงกรีดร้องของผู้โดยสารจำนวนมากที่อยู่ด้านในรถราง
ขณะที่สื่อฝรั่งเศสระบุว่าอุบัติเหตุเกิดขึ้นหลังจากรถรางขบวนหนึ่งเปลี่ยนรางและชนกับรถรางที่จอดเทียบสถานี นอกจากนี้ยังมีรายงานด้วยว่ารถรางขบวนหนึ่งถอยหลังก่อนเกิดเหตุ อย่างไรก็ตาม ทางการจังหวัดบา-แร็งระบุว่าเจ้าหน้าที่กำลังสอบสวนหาสาเหตุที่แน่ชัด
ด้านหน่วยดับเพลิงและกู้ภัยจังหวัดบา-แร็งเปิดเผยว่าผู้โดยสารบางรายกระดูกไหปลาร้าหัก บางรายเข่าพลิก และยังมีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บเล็กน้อยราวๆ 100 รายซึ่งเข้ารับการรักษาโดยแพทย์แล้ว ส่วนคนขับรถรางทั้ง 2 คนไม่ได้รับบาดเจ็บทางร่างกาย แต่มีอาการตกใจมาก
At least 30 people have been injured after two trams collided at Strasbourg’s central station on Saturday, authorities said. Local media reported that the crash occurred after one of the trams switched tracks and collided with a stationary tram. Other reports said one tram was reversing at the time. A spokesman for the prefecture said an investigation into the cause of the accident has been opened and no fatalities have been confirmed.
