เมียนมาหวนให้บริการ “วีซ่าออนไลน์”กลุ่มสิทธิฯ วอนอย่าเที่ยว-ให้เงินรัฐบาลทหาร
เมียนมาหวนให้บริการ – ซินหัว รายงานว่ากระทรวงการตรวจคนเข้าเมืองและประชากรของเมียนมา เผยเมื่อวันที่ 12 พ.ค.ที่ผ่านมาว่าเมียนมาจะกลับมาเปิดรับการยื่นขอ วีซ่านักท่องเที่ยว แบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ตั้งแต่วันอาทิตย์ที่ 15 พ.ค. หลังระงับการยื่นขอวีซ่าอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ใหม่ทั้งหมดนานกว่า 2 ปี เนื่องจากการแพร่ระบาดของ โรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ (โควิด-19)
การดำเนินการครั้งนี้มีขึ้นหลังจากเมียนมากลับมาให้บริการเที่ยวบินพาณิชย์ระหว่างประเทศเมื่อวันที่ 17 เม.ย. และเปิดพรมแดนต้อนรับนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติอีกครั้ง

ด้านกระทรวงสาธารณสุขเมียนมาระบุว่าอัตราผลตรวจโรคโควิด-19 เป็นบวกรายวันของเมียนมา ต่ำกว่าร้อยละ 1 มานานกว่า 1 เดือนแล้ว นับตั้งแต่วันที่ 4 เม.ย. โดยเมียนมากลับมาเปิดรับการยื่นขอวีซ่าธุรกิจแบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 เม.ย. ที่ผ่านมา
ทั้งนี้ เมียนมาเริ่มใช้งานแพลตฟอร์มยื่นขอวีซ่าทางออนไลน์ในเดือนก.ย.2557 และเปิดรับการยื่นขอวีซ่าแบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์จากแพลตฟอร์มดังกล่าว
ขณะเดียวกันบีบีซีรายงานว่า องค์กรด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนระหว่างประเทศเรียกร้องให้นักท่องเที่ยวหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินทางเยือนเมียนมาเพราะเข้าข่ายให้การสนับสนุนทางการเงินแก่รัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา
