สวิสเร่งสืบสวน – Two people were seriously injured on Wednesday morning after an explosion at a hydroelectric power station in southern Switzerland, local authorities said. The workplace accident occurred in the village of Piotta, police in the canton of Ticino said. An explosion occurred this morning at the Ritom power plant in Piotta, in Switzerland’s Ticino canton. Ticino cantonal police have confirmed a serious accident, with two people seriously injured and part of the facility damaged. A major emergency response is underway, with firefighters, rescue teams, police, ambulances and a Rega helicopter deployed to the scene. A large area has been cordoned off while rescue operations and investigations continue.
สวิสเร่งสืบสวน – Local reports say part of the building may have collapsed and several people could be trapped, although this has not yet been officially confirmed. The cause of the explosion remains unclear. The Ritom plant is a pumped-storage hydroelectric facility supplied by Lake Ritom and is operated by Ritom SA, jointly owned by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and Azienda Elettrica Ticinese.
