ฝ่ายผู้ต้องสงสัยให้การอ้างว่าตกงาน ไม่ยอมรับคำกล่าวหา และอธิบายว่าแค่กดขนมปังเบาๆ เพื่อดูเนื้อขนมปังแน่นแค่ไหน ด้านตำรวจกล่าวว่าขนมปังถูกกดจนเสียรูปทรงและขายไม่ได้ทั้งถุง ส่วนเจ้าของร้านเปิดเผยด้วยว่าเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวไม่ใช่ครั้งแรกที่ผู้หญิงคนนี้บีบขนมปัง

The woman, who claimed to be unemployed, denied the allegations and said she had “only pressed it lightly in my hand to check the firmness of the bread”. She had allegedly picked up a bag of four black sesame and cream cheese buns and pressed one of the buns with her right thumb. /RKB毎日放送/
According to The Mainichi, the police said that the damaged bun was no longer in its original shape. This meant that the entire bag could not be sold. The owner also told the authorities that this was not the first time the woman was seen squashing bread. /jp.freepik/
